Clyde & Co advises TAURON Zielona Energia Sp. z o.o. on acquisition of wind farm project

Warsaw, 24 September 2024 - Global Law firm Clyde & Co has advised TAURON Zielona Energia Sp. z o.o., on the acquisition of the shares in the project company developing an onshore wind farm from VSB GREEN YIELD ONE GMBH.

The onshore wind farm is located in the municipality of Miejska Górka (Wielkopolskie Voivodeship) and consists of 53 wind turbines with an approximate target capacity of 190 MW and potential for further development.

Clyde & Co provided comprehensive assistance to TAURON Zielona Energia, the company responsible for renewable energy investments within the TAURON Group on its acquisition of a stake in the project company developing the wind farm. This included preparation of a legal due diligence report on the wind farm project, including the verification of the EPC agreement and the turbine supply and installation agreement.

The energy production profile of wind farms complements well the consumption profile of end users, who are increasingly producing energy from photovoltaics themselves. “We have successfully completed the acquisition of a wind farm with a capacity of up to 190.8 MW in Miejska Górka. It will be one of the largest wind farm projects in Poland.
