Sarah joined the Healthcare team as a senior associate in September 2019. She has 10 years' experience working in defendant insurance litigation, predominantly in clinical negligence but also employers' and public liability. Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, Sarah spent over 10 years working in the public sector including dealing with negligence claims in-house.
Sarah supervises and manages a large caseload of clinical negligence claims for a variety of clients both in the public sector and for private insurers. She specialises in complex and high value claims across all areas of medicine, including adult and paediatric brain injury cases and delayed diagnosis of rare genetic disorders. She has considerable experience of taking claims to trial. She successfully defended an NHS Trust in a consent case in the Court of Appeal.
Sarah has advised both the NHS and private clients in relation to high profile group actions.
Sarah has an excellent rapport with her clients and her experience working in the public sector enhances her ability to understand her clients' perspective and meet their needs and expectations.
