Lazar is a senior associate in the aviation liability team with experience in both contentious and non-contentious aviation work, including aviation regulatory and commercial matters.
Lazar has assisted with the handling of several major losses, responding to attritional claims, and pursuing subrogated claims against liable parties, with a particular focus on claims in Europe, Russia and the CIS. He has experience in the drafting and negotiation of hull and policyholder releases.
Lazar has advised clients on the terms of commercial agreements, and provided regulatory advice on air transport agreements, UAS operations, ICAO and EASA regulations in a number of fields. He has also provided guidance on the impact of Brexit on aviation.
Lazar has presented at international aviation conferences, and has authored several publications on aviation law issues, including an article titled “Flying into the Unknown: The UK’s Air Transport Relations with the European Union and Third Countries Following ‘Brexit’”
Lazar is a graduate of the Leiden University Advanced LL.M. in Air & Space Law and the recipient of the Prize for 2012 of the European Air Law Association.
