Sophie Quinney is a Legal Director within the Healthcare team and joined Clyde & Co in June 2022. She has specialised in clinical negligence claims on instructions from NHS Resolution since 2013.
Sophie regularly represents NHS Trusts in high value clinical negligence claims involving the most severe neurological injuries. She is experienced in settlements which involve periodical payments. Sophie is also experienced in dealing with multi-party actions, group claims and claims which attract media attention. She has acted on sensitive claims involving wrongful births, fatalities, and the delayed diagnosis of cancer.
Sophie has dealt with a clinical negligence claim which ran alongside manslaughter investigations by the police, and a claim on behalf of a different Trust which ran alongside a prosecution by the Health and Safety Executive.
