She was called to the Quebec Bar in 1996 and began her practice as a law clerk for the Honourable Marie Deschamps of the Quebec Court of Appeal, who was subsequently appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada. After completing her clerkship, she joined a leading insurance boutique in 1998 prior to its merger with Clyde & Co.
Caroline specialises in insurance law and civil and professional liability litigation. She represents, advises and defends professional orders and their syndics (investigators), directors and officers of companies and non-profit organizations, as well as professionals in the construction, health and financial industries. She also defends employment practices liability claims. She handles complex files and pleads regularly before the Quebec courts and before administrative tribunals.
She was Vice-President of the disciplinary committee of the Organisme d'autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (the Quebec real estate brokerage self-regulatory organization) from May 2010 to Fall 2017, presiding over more than 60 disciplinary hearings. She also taught the course of Ethics and Professional Practice at the Quebec Bar School.
She is a graduate of Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Law, (LL.B., 1995). She is francophone and speaks fluent English.
Caroline is ranked as Repeatedly Recommended by The Canadian Lexpert Directory 2020 for the practice of Commercial Insurance Litigation and Professional Liability. She was also selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Canada 2021 in the fields of Insurance Law and Professional Malpractice Law.
