Matthew is a Senior Associate in our Property Damage team. He deals with a wide range of property damage and commercial insurance matters including a range of perils (escapes of water, floods, fire, etc.), construction disputes, private nuisance, and subrogated recovery claims. He often advises major insurers and brokers on policy coverage and is regularly instructed to handle both first party and third-party liability claims.
Matthew has an in-depth knowledge of landlord and tenant law and acts for social landlords (both housing associations and local authorities) in defending housing disrepair claims. Matthew has contributed to the legal press in respect of emerging trends and developments in property damage and regularly provides training to insurers, brokers, and other interested parties.
