Miranda Karali combines 30 years' experience in English litigation and arbitration with a deep knowledge of Greek business and cross-border legal issues. She specialises in shipping and commercial disputes. Her principal clients are shipowners, charterers, P&I Clubs, traders, banks and insurers. She also acts for Greek companies on their UK law issues, including for government agencies, oil companies, manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and construction companies. She has handled a number of shareholder disputes and disputes arising under joint ventures. She also helps her clients with some of their non-contentious needs involving company structure, ship sale & purchase and negotiation of commercial agreements.
Miranda is qualified in England and in Greece, and holds an LLM in International Business Law from King's College, London. She is co-author of the shipping chapter in the American Hellenic Institute's book "Doing Business in Greece" and of the UK chapter in the Oxford University Press book "Practitioner's Handbook on International Commercial Arbitration". She is fluent in Greek, French and Spanish.
