Maria joined the London Marine Assets and Projects Group in February 2023 as an Associate. She is a dual qualified lawyer in England & Wales and in Greece (currently registered with the Piraeus Bar Association).
Maria has completed an LLB at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an LLM in Maritime Law at City University London and has obtained the PQE qualification from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (London and Southeast Branch). Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Maria developed a diverse range of skills relevant to the maritime industry from roles held within London law firms specialising in marine litigation and luxury asset transactions and from holding a commercial role as a cruise sales consultant for a very popular ultra-luxury cruise line.
Maria’s area of expertise focuses on non-contentious aspects of marine projects such as superyacht sale and purchase transactions acting primarily for HNW and UHNW individuals and their family offices, flagging, registration and ownership structure arrangements, yacht building and ship building projects acting on behalf of either the buyers/owners or the builders, refit and conversion projects for various types of vessels and asset finance.
Maria is fluent in English, Greek and has good working capacity in French.

Before joining Clyde & Co Maria worked for a luxury cruise line as a cruise sales consultant and has experience and links with the cruise line industry. She has strong connections with the Greek shipping and yachting industry.
