Julie James has practiced insurance law for over 15 years. She advises insurers on coverage and allocation issues for third-party claims involving commercial general liability, errors and omissions, and excess and umbrella policies, as well as reinsurance agreements. Julie has extensive experience with construction defect and environmental claims, and she has also handled a wide variety of other matters involving coverage for personal and advertising injury, professional liability, and employment practices liability.
Julie’s experience also includes advising insurers on policy interpretation and loss adjustment issues under first-party property policies.
Additionally, Julie has considerable experience litigating coverage disputes in trial and appellate courts in California, including the defense of bad faith claims.
