Janan practises in aviation, aerospace, oil & gas, international trade, shipping, general commercial litigation, dispute resolution and arbitration. Called to the Bar in 2004, Janan has represented clients ranging from state entities to small companies throughout the litigation process. Some of the ancillary matters to the dispute process that she has advised on include enforcing and challenging arbitration awards, obtaining and defending security for costs orders.
In addition, Janan has a PhD with expertise on Iraq and the Middle East and is the author of “Iraq’s Oil and Gas Industry: The Legal and Contractual Framework”. Janan is able to advise governments and participants in the energy sector on constitutional, contractual and legislative issues.
