Andrés is a Colombian qualified lawyer from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá and an LLM from University College London (UCL).
Before joining Clyde & Co Andrés practiced at Palacios Lleras (2010-2013) and Arrieta Mantilla y Asociados (2015-2017), two highly regarded boutique law firms in Colombia where he acquired a wide experience in administrative and commercial litigation and the handling regulatory investigations and proceedings in the telecoms, mining, ports, and utilities sectors before entities such as the Contraloría General de la República, Cormagdalena, Ministry of Mines, Ministry of Transport, Agencia Nacional de Infraestructura, Utilities Regulatory Commissions and Superintendencies among others.
Andrés joined Clyde & Co in May 2017, and has focused on insurance and reinsurance litigation in high value financial institutions claims, and in particular is advising London reinsurers in some of the most high profile regulatory and criminal investigations being pursued in Colombia.
Andres co-authors the chapter on Colombia in The Insurance and Reinsurance Law Review.
