The occupier side is equally buoyant with over 25% of total retail sales in the UK carried out online and we act for clients across all parts of the production and delivery chain.  We appreciate the importance of securing deals quickly whilst ensuring the long term ability for the business to operate efficiently and to adapt to market changes.

  • Acting for an overseas investor client

    Acting for an overseas investor on the acquisition and asset management of their entire commercial property portfolio across England, Wales & Scotland. Most recently, we advised on the acquisition and simultaneous refinance of two portfolios for £43m – totalling 23 multi let industrial and out of town retail estates with a combined value of over £130m.

    Acting for Barwood Capital on the acquisition and preparation for development of Firth Way, Nottingham, a key site located within two miles of the M1 on the Blenheim Industrial Estate for the proposed development of a single 370,000 sq ft industrial unit.

    Acting for Bolsover Land Limited (a JV between Almcor and St Francis Group) on the acquisition of a former chemical plant in Bolsover, Derbyshire to regenerate and develop the site as for logistics warehousing of over 1.4m sq. ft. Covering all aspects of the project including JV documentation, acquisition and development work.

    Acting for a data centre client on the acquisition of various sites for development (on both freehold and leasehold terms) as new data centres and customer lettings and service agreements at existing sites, including advice and negotiations around BREEAM, development covenants, connectivity and surrounding easements for fibre and power.

    Acting for an international data centre client on the conditional acquisition of a new development site as the anchor tenant of a new rural business park, including advice on planning, procurement and power agreements for new power connections.

    Acting on the creation of a JV between Greenergy and Almcor for the Thames Enterprise Park (TEP), Stanford le Hope, to acquire a 50% shareholding in the TEP business from Greenery and on various aspects of the project, including the disposal of non-essential land holdings and a development.

    Immingham Eastern Ro-Ro Terminal NSIP (IERRT)

    We are currently promoting the IERRT NSIP. This DCO application seeks consent for the construction and operation for Stena Line of a new three berth Ro-Ro facility in the Port of Immingham. The Examination closed this January and we continue to advise in respect of post-Examination matters pending a decision.

    Acting for MSF Filton (a JV between Marcol and St Francis Group) on the development of the Horizon38 business park in Bristol since inception. Including the principal JV documentation, acquisition, pre-lets, refinancing, forward funding of a new global technology centre, forward sale of plots for a hotel and second-hand car showroom and construction of a light industrial facility.
