Beverley Whittle is an Associate in the Manchester office's Finance and Professional Disputes team, with experience in dealing with the defence of claims against a wide range of professionals.
Beverley trained at DAC Beachcroft before joining the professional indemnity team at BLM in 2011 and Clyde & Co in 2022 following the merger.
Beverley acts on behalf of insurer clients in relation to a variety of claims, with an emphasis currently on claims against solicitors but previously also including claims against architects, construction professionals, surveyors, accountants and insurance brokers.
Beverley recognises the importance of maintaining the relationship between the insurer and their insured and the necessity to provide both practical and commercial advice.

Handling a range of professional indemnity claims against professionals, including but not limited solicitors, charities, accountants, insurance brokers and architects
Negotiating on a loss of chance claim by a property development company against its solicitor for failings in the conveyancing transaction
Assisting solicitor clients with claims arising from a buyer funded development and interactions with the Insolvency Service
Assisting with multi-party, complex pre-action disputes against construction professionals including fire safety issues in a claim against architects and fire engineering claims against modular build specialists
Advising a firm of architects in relation to a claim involving the design of beams for a hospital superstructure
Advising on policy coverage, including challenges to the nature of indemnity, non-compliance, non disclosure and misrepresentation
