Maddy advises a variety of clients on cyber security incidents and data protection liability. She routinely advises clients on their legal and regulatory obligations pursuant to relevant data protection legislation following personal data breaches as well as notification to impacted individuals. Maddy has experience with a variety of regulators including the ICO, the FCA and the Charity Commission as well as dealing with PCI DSS compliance. She also has a wealth of experience in managing data breach response across the EU and globally, whilst co-ordinating with local counsel.

Maddy has a variety of litigation experience both in the cyber sector and across commercial litigation and property and liability claims. In addition, Maddy regularly handles subrogated recoveries on behalf of property and liability insurers.

In addition to contentious work, Maddy has experience advising on a variety of cyber insurance policy wordings. She has spent time in the London market on secondment with a global insurer in their cyber claims team and in our San Francisco office, advising insurers on coverage for cyber claims. She also has experience advising London market insurers on complex cyber coverage issues.
