Jonathan heads the Manchester costs team at Clyde & Co and has been at the sharp end of the costs world for over 15 years, dealing with costs issues, predominantly for insurers, local authorities and commercial clients when they find themselves as paying parties in litigation.
Jonathan was heavily involved in protecting insurers' interests in the raft of test litigation which followed the introduction of the Conditional Fee Agreement Regulations, acting for clients in such litigation in the Court of Appeal.
Since then, Jonathan has continued to advise clients on a wide and diverse caseload, including funding issues and those challenges introduced by the 'Jackson Reforms'. As a result, Jonathan is now at the forefront of the evolving Costs Budgeting process. Jonathan also provides in house training and auditing services to clients.
