Jamie Sanders is the Managing Partner of Clyde & Co’s Chicago office and Practice Group Co-Chair. He represents insurers in complex, high-stakes insurance coverage disputes. He has litigated and provided coverage advice to clients for claims across a variety of lines, including architects and engineers, product recall, environmental clean-up, commercial general liability, and professional liability. Jamie has acted as trial, appellate, and arbitration counsel for insurers in coverage disputes.
 
Jamie is ranked by Chambers & Partners. Prior to joining Clyde & Co in 2017, he was a partner at Troutman Sanders (now Troutman Pepper).

  • John Crane Inc. v. Allianz Underwriters Ins. Co., 2020 IL App (1st) 180223. Trial counsel for insurers in multi-month trial where insured sought coverage for hundreds of millions of dollars in underlying asbestos bodily injury liabilities.
  • Illinois Union Ins. Co. v. Medline Industries, Inc., 2022 IL App (2d) 210175: Secured ruling that insurer did not have duty to defend or indemnify insured in underlying ethylene oxide bodily injury lawsuits.
  • Dunluck v. Assicurazioni Generali, 590 F.Supp.3d 1293 (D. Mont. 2022): Secured ruling that D&O insurer was not liable for underlying default judgment.
