Benjamin is an Associate of the Energy, Marine & Natural Resources group in the Singapore office. He acts for a variety of clients in the marine industry, including leading commodity trading firms, shipowners, charterers and marine insurers.
Prior to joining the Singapore office, Benjamin trained for two years in the firm’s London office, where he assisted on a wide range of contentious and regulatory matters in the marine, insurance and sanctions spheres. Benjamin also has experience working in-house at various insurers.

Advised a charterer in relation to a claim for demurrage by a shipowner.
Assisted an engineering company in a dispute arising out of a collision between a barge and a freighter.
Provided advice on sanctions regulations to various marine and insurer clients, particularly in relation to the Russian-Ukraine conflict.
Advised a credit insurer on the due date of payment under a shipbuilding contract.
Assisted a financial institution in a dispute pertaining to allegations of fraud in relation to letters of credit.
