Aaron J. Sussman-Bhandari focuses his practice on advising and litigating for first- and third-party insurance disputes, particularly in the industries of accident-and-health insurance, travel insurance, and liability for construction defects, energy, products liability and recalls, professional liability, and life science.
Prior to becoming an insurance attorney, Aaron developed a winning record as a trial attorney. For two years, he served as a criminal prosecutor at the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s office, handling a felony caseload focusing on insurance fraud in the fields of construction and contracting. He has served as a plaintiffs' attorney handling high-stakes personal injury and wrongful death cases in Los Angeles. Aaron has also taken and defended witness and expert depositions, including multiple multi-day depositions of opposing Persons Most Qualified, argued countless motions, and taken cases to trial, achieving favorable verdicts—both civil and criminal—in every matter that he has litigated.
