Constance Odiero, a Senior Associate in the Nairobi Office, is an experienced  dispute resolutions lawyer with five years’ post admission experience advising across numerous sectors, primarily in the Employment, Insurance, Health Care and Tobacco Industries. 

Prior to joining the firm, Constance was a member of the dispute resolution team in a Nairobi based international firm and has a wide range of experience working with clients from a variety of jurisdictions.

Constance’s practice focuses on dispute resolution in the Employment, Insurance and Health Care sectors. 
 

Expérience

• Challenged the administration, implementation and constitutionality of sections of the Tobacco Control Act, 2007 and Tobacco regulations in a matter in the Supreme Court of Kenya. 
• Acted for an unsuccessful bidder in a judicial review proceeding challenging the award of a tender by Kenya’s National Hospital Insurance Fund for provision of life insurance for workers in the public service. The tender was for Kshs. 870,244,184/. 
• Successfully represented a client in the healthcare industry in an arbitration matter over a claim of breach of a Hospital Management Information System’s (HMIS) contract and advised on the enforceability of a foreign award. The value of the claim was Kshs. 46,000,000/-
