Robbie is an Associate in the Sydney office and specialises in the management of commercial disputes for clients in the energy, marine and international trade sectors.
Robbie is an Associate in the Energy, Marine and Natural Resources Group based in the firm’s Sydney office. Prior to his relocation to Australia, Robbie qualified and spent two years as an Associate in the firm’s London office between 2022 and 2024.
Robbie has a range of contentious experience on energy, shipping and general commercial disputes, acting on matters before the English High Court and international arbitrations under LMAA, GAFTA and FOSFA Rules. Robbie has acted for a number of major international shipping and logistics clients on disputes which often have a cross-border element and have included parallel proceedings in such jurisdictions as Switzerland, Russia, and Hong Kong.
Robbie’s particular area of focus is on advising commodities traders and shipping clients in relation to issues arising out of sale contracts, charterparties, bills of lading and other commercial agreements.

Sole associate on several matters for international commodity traders in GAFTA and FOSFA arbitrations, with the value of claims ranging between USD 20,000 to USD 2 million.
Assisting on a USD 2 billion international fraud claim before the UK Commercial Court involving allegations of conspiracy against several high-profile clients.
