Christoph is a Counsel in the Litigation & Arbitration practice of Clyde & Co and based in the Dusseldorf office.
He advises and represents international and domestic clients in a wide array of complex commercial, liability and corporate disputes, in particular in the fields of international trade, product liability, professional indemnity, D&O liability as well as post-M&A and shareholder disputes. His expertise further encompasses the enforcement of foreign judgements and arbitration awards as well as the defence against enforcement measures in Germany. In arbitration proceedings (institutional and ad hoc), Christoph is experienced as counsel and sits as arbitrator. Christoph further co-leads our German ESG and Climate Change practice.
He is a member of the German-American Lawyers’ Association as well as the DIS40 – German Initiative of Young Arbitration Practitioners. Furthermore, he is part of the NextGen Initiative 2021 of AmCham Germany which connects young professionals with a strong interest in fostering the transatlantic partnership.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Christoph was a Salaried Partner within the Dispute Resolution practice of a renowned German law firm in Berlin. He started his career as a lawyer in 2013 in the Corporate/M&A practice of a leading American law firm in Dusseldorf. Christoph studied law at the University of Muenster and completed his legal traineeship at the Berlin Court of Appeal.
Christoph is frequently being recognized in “Best Lawyers® in Germany” for Litigation and has been awarded a “2022 Top Lawyer” for Litigation by WirtschaftsWoche.
