Antonios is an Associate in the firm’s Global Arbitration Group and is based in Hamburg, Germany. He advises and represents clients in domestic and international arbitration proceedings as well as in complex cross-border disputes before German courts. The focus of his practice lies in his commercial arbitration work, which covers a broad range of sectors including international trade (CISG and non-CISG related matters), corporate disputes (joint venture and post M&A), energy (offshore wind, PV and CSP) as well as construction disputes.
Antonios holds a Master’s degree (LL.M.) in International Business Regulation, Litigation and Arbitration from New York University (2018) and previously studied law at the University of Hamburg and the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He is admitted to practice law in Germany (Rechtsanwalt) and in New York (Attorney at Law).
Antonios joined Clyde & Co in 2021 from another leading international law firm in Hamburg, where he also worked in dispute resolution. Before that, Antonios gained professional experience working for several international law firms in Germany and Japan. Furthermore, Antonios was a Research Associate at the University of Hamburg, where he worked at the Institute for Maritime Law and International Law of the Sea and regularly published on international liability conventions. During his legal clerkship, Antonios worked for the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany (Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie) as well as the Higher Regional Court of Hamburg (Hanseatisches Oberlandesgericht).
Antonios is a member of DIS40 (German Initiative of Young Arbitration Practitioners) and ICC YAF (Young Arbitrators Forum at the International Chamber of Commerce). His working languages are German, English and Greek.
In 2023, Antonios was recognised a “Top Lawyer” for arbitration by leading German business weekly WirtschaftsWoche. Furthermore, he is listed as “One to Watch” for arbitration and mediation by Best Lawyers (2024).
