Lucy is a commercial litigation and arbitration lawyer who has years of experience in representing clients in domestic and international commercial disputes, including before courts in the UAE (including the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts and Abu Dhabi Global Market Courts) and England and Wales (including the High Court and the Court of Appeal).

Lucy also represents clients in high value and complex international arbitrations (including before the LCIA, DIFC-LCIA (as it was) and DIAC) and is also an accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator, which means she is well placed to provide advice and act for clients in relation to settling disputes using means other than litigation.

Lucy co-hosts Clyde & Co’s podcast series, ‘Virtually Everythingbringing together and sharing the firm’s global experience and expertise in the virtual sector.

  • Technology and Media - Representing a Dubai based client in LCIA arbitration proceedings arising out of a technically complex dispute regarding the supply and installation of media and broadcasting services and infrastructure (governed by Qatar law).
  • Cybercrime – Advising a KSA based client in relation to a business email hacking which caused the transfer of approximately AED 5 million to a fraudulent account, including advice on issues such as liability and potential recovery.
  • Cybercrime – Advising and representing a client in pursuing and defending various defamation and cybercrime claims (criminal and civil) in the onshore UAE Courts.
  • Automotive – Representing a luxury car manufacturer in DIFC-LCIA arbitration proceedings relating to the termination of an import agreement.
  • Commercial - Representing a UK based client in the English High Court and Court of Appeal in a claim involving questions over governing law (English law or UAE law); limitation; alleged breach of contract; and the appropriate assessment of damages.
  • Commercial – Representing a Dubai based provider of third-party administration services in its claim against a healthcare insurance provider, for breach of a Third-Party Administrator Agreement governed by UAE law.
  • Banking and Finance - Successfully setting aside a Default Judgment of the DIFC Courts and defending a claim relating to a Facility Agreement governed by UAE Laws and Personal Guarantees governed by DIFC Laws.
  • Enforcement – Advising and representing clients in relation to the domestic and international enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards.
