Patrick specialises in shipping and commodity trading disputes and general international commercial arbitration and litigation. He also advises international traders and businesses in respect of the application of sanctions regimes and the implications for their continued operation.
Patrick has recently joined Clyde & Co's London office from our Dubai office. He has extensive experience of litigating and arbitrating in the UAE courts, Dubai arbitrations and international arbitrations under DIAC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, ICC and LMAA rules in respect of commercial agency, telecoms, oil and gas, commodities and investment disputes.
Patrick regularly advises shipowners, charterers, traders in a wide range of charterparty, sale of goods and commodity disputes. He is a regular presenter at events concerning shipping law, including lecturing on laytime and demurrage matters.
He also advises international traders and businesses in respect of the application of sanctions regimes against Iran and the implications for their continued operation.

Advising global metals producer and trader in relation to USD 20 million dispute in relation to the alleged wrongful termination of a contract of affreightment.
Advising various charterers in relation to off hire disputes, time charterparty redelivery disputes, laytime and demurrage disputes, COA disputes and contamination claims.
Advising owners in respect of freight and hire disputes and liens over cargos and freight/hire.
Advising various telecoms companies in relation to LCIA, UNCITRAL and ICC investment disputes.
Advising in relation to the application of various sanctions against Iran.
