Nicola is an Associate in the Employment Team of our Glasgow office. Nicola qualified in 2015, having focussed exclusively in Employment law during her traineeship. Since qualifying, she sought the opportunity to broaden her legal experience by pursuing personal injury claims, gaining experience of both the Sheriff Court and Court of Session.
Nicola now focuses solely on Employment law since joining Clyde & Co in July 2021, realising that her interests and passion lie in this diverse and complex area of law.
Working with clients across a range of industries and sectors, Nicola advises across the full range of employment law issues including unfair dismissal, discrimination, breach of contract, loss of wages, disciplinary and grievance processes, and redundancy. Nicola also enjoys delivering training and webinars to clients.
Nicola has conducted tribunal advocacy in a number of multi-day cases involving issues including discrimination claims, unfair dismissal, and contractual issues. She regularly appears in preliminary hearings, including in relation to applications to amend. She has also been involved in judicial mediation and is keen to explore ways to resolve disputes for her clients before a hearing becomes necessary.
