Mohamed advises on dispute avoidance, notably in the fields of construction, maritime and aviation law. 

Mohamed is a member of the Egyptian Bar Association. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from Ain Shams University in Cairo and has received a Master of Laws degree In Private Law and International Trade Law from Ain Shams University in 2014 as well as an LLM Law and Economics from Hamburg University and a Master of Economics from Cairo University in 2018.

Mohamed is fluent in English and Arabic.

Expérience

• Acting as co-counsel for a major UAE company and its Canadian shareholders against the Arab Republic of Egypt in an international investment dispute over a large natural gas distribution network before ICSID and UNCITRAL under the Egypt-UAE and Egypt-Canada BITs.
• Acting as co-counsel for an Australian company against the Arab Republic of Egypt in a complex international investment arbitration dispute over a tin and tantalum mine before ICSID, under the Egypt-Australia BIT.
• Acting as co-counsel for a major Italian company against the Arab Republic of Egypt in an investment arbitration dispute before ICSID, under the Egypt-Italy BIT.
• Representing a Saudi construction company in a multi-million-dollar dispute under the ICC rules, with Saudi as governing laws, against an international conglomerate. The dispute relates to one of the major Saudi Gas projects.
• Representing a major American industrial automation company in a dispute under the DIFC-LCIA rules, with the laws of UAE as governing law, concerning breaches of a distribution agreement in the MENA region.
• Representing a major Saudi holding company in a multi-million-dollar dispute under the CRCICA rules, with English and Egyptian law as governing laws, against one of the major conglomerates in the region. The dispute relates to the breach of a group of complex corporate restructuring and financing agreements.
• Leading the team in representing a major French video game publishing company in a dispute under the CRCICA rules, against an Egyptian company and its USA resident shareholder, concerning breaches of a service agreement.
• Acting as co-counsel for a major international investment fund, based in the USA, in a mid-stream gas company with respect to the resolution of an ICC dispute with an Egyptian national arising out of agreements related to multi-jurisdictional share transactions.
