Jodie qualified as a solicitor in September 2007 having completed her training contract with James Chapman & Co and Halliwells LLP following the firms’ merger.

Jodie handles claims involving brain, spinal, amputation, multiple orthopaedic and fatal injuries. Jodie also has great experience of claims involving chronic pain syndromes. Jodie has a particular interest in technical issues particularly periodical payments and the discount rate. Jodie regularly provides training to clients on dealing with high value claims and the particular issues that they present.

Expérience

• Acting in a number of claims with a value in excess of GBP 1m;
• Acting in a road traffic accident with over 30 claims of varying value some of which include issues as to immigration status;
• Advising insurers on the use of and administration of periodical payment orders;
• Co-author of Clyde & Co's response to the Discount Rate Consultation.
