Since qualifying in 2019 in New Zealand, Hannah has specialised in insurance and reinsurance matters. Prior to joining Clyde and Co in 2023, Hannah practised at a specialist insurance law firm in New Zealand focussing predominantly on professional indemnity insurance defence and coverage disputes. During that time, Hannah appeared in the New Zealand Courts and before various tribunals both as sole and junior counsel.
Hannah now acts on behalf of insurers in the London market and in Bermuda, with a focus on Bermuda Form coverage disputes and international arbitrations. Hannah has experience handling large, high-value and complex coverage matters, and advises and acts for insurers in cases involving the US Opioid Crisis, PFAS contamination, and Covid-19 Business Disruption cases, amongst others.
Hannah is also involved in the firm’s Pro Bono initiatives, working with the Max Planck Institute for International Peace and the Rule of Law.
