Brendan is a Partner in the projects & construction team based in our Riyadh office. He has over ten years’ experience in high value and complex engineering disputes, both in litigation and arbitration. Brendan has a particular interest in international arbitration, where he helps clients obtain the best possible results in often challenging circumstances. He has been involved in multiple “bet the company” cases.
Brendan has experience across a range of institutional rules including SCCA, ICC, UNCITRAL, DIFC-LCIA, DIAC, arbitrateAD, and ICSID. Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Brendan worked for a Tier 1 construction practice in an Australian law firm. During that time he was seconded to the international arbitration team of a leading Spanish law firm in Madrid, specialising in construction disputes. Working across various common law and civil jurisdictions has helped equip Brendan to quickly identify the critical issues in international construction disputes.
Brendan has worked across various industries, including road, rail, marine, LNG, commercial and residential. Whichever the industry, Brendan enjoys gaining a deep understanding of the technical engineering issues so he can present these in a clear and concise manner to tribunals and courts.
