Tal joined Clyde & Co’s Toronto office in 2018 after working as an associate at a leading insurance defence boutique in Toronto. Tal has a broad insurance defence practice with particular expertise in professional liability, municipal liability, product liability, tavern and commercial host liability, and sports liability. Tal also provides insurance coverage advice on a wide range of issues and sectors and acts for insurers in complex coverage litigation.
In 2022, Tal moved back from Toronto to his hometown of Winnipeg, where he maintains a practice in both Manitoba and Ontario. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016 and the Manitoba Bar in 2022.

Parravano v. The City of Richmond Hill, Ontario, 2024 ONSC 3726 – Successfully moved on behalf of the defendant municipality for an order striking the statement of claim as disclosing no reasonable cause of action, or alternatively, dismissing the action as an abuse of process.
Soetemans v. Design Concrete, 2022 ONSC 5595 – Obtained partial summary judgment dismissing an action arising from the collapse of a barn as against two professional engineers on the basis of a limitation of liability clause in the engineering services contract.
Sidhu v. Toor, 2018 ONSC 4874 – Successfully argued motion to compel an adverse party to answer questions and produce documentation improperly refused at examination for discovery.
