Maha is a legal director in Clyde & Co’s corporate group and is based in the Doha office. She has experience advising international clients and Qatari institutions on a range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), debt capital markets, incorporations, regulatory and corporate governance, and employment matters. In addition, Maha advises financial institutions on various matters including financing and regulatory matters.
Maha has advised on a number of transactions, working with clients operating in the energy, financial services, hospitality, and infrastructure sectors.
Maha is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. She graduated with a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from Northumbria University, UK in 2007, and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from Northumbria University, UK in 2006.
Maha is ranked as an “Associate to Watch” by Chambers Global 2023 and a “Rising Star” by Legal 500 EMEA for Qatar Commercial, Corporate and M&A 2023. Maha grew up in and attended school in Qatar where she learnt to speak Arabic fluently.

Advising International Bank of Qatar (IBQ) on their ground-breaking merger with Barwa Bank. This is the first merger in the banking sector in Qatar, creating a combined entity with more than QAR 80 billion (USD 22 billion) in assets.
Advising an international investment bank in relation to the setting up of a special purpose vehicle (SPV) in the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) for the purposes of capital markets transactions.
Advising a listed Qatar company in relation to the potential acquisition of a limited liability company including a due diligence exercise of the target.
Advising a Q Inc. in relation to reviewing and amending a set of regulations to bring them in line with best practice and advising on amendments to its enabling law.
Advising a Q Inc entity in relation to the winding up of one of its subsidiaries in Qatar including a due diligence exercise to determine the liabilities and obligations of the subsidiary.
