Jonathan is an Associate at the Melbourne office who has been at Clyde & Co since June 2019. Jonathan primarily works in financial lines related claims and commercial litigation, particularly relating to professional indemnity and directors' & officers' liability claims. Jonathan has had ongoing experience to an array of high stakes litigious matters, most notably being United Petroleum Australia Pty Ltd v Freehills [2020] VSCA 15.

In addition to his involvement with assisting clients, Jonathan is also passionate about support supporting junior lawyers/graduates with the many challenges involved in setting the foundations of a legal career. As part of his endeavours, Jonathan has also presented a number of talks and presentations with the Law Institute of Victoria, Swinburne University and internally, focussed on guiding young lawyers to establish their own professional brand and identity.

• Directors' & Officers' Liability – Successfully defended a number of officers and directors of both private and publicly listed companies, including applications for derivative actions
• Professional  Liability – Successfully defending claims in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal against an oil and energy company seeking damages for a failed IPO
• Warranty & Indemnity Insurance Claims – Advised on one of the first complex warranty and indemnity insurance claims with respect to losses arising from alleged breaches in contractual warranties
• Contentious Coverage – Advised a variety of insurers on contentious investigation and defence costs claims arising out of civil and criminal proceedings being brought against insureds
