Jessica is a Counsel and her practice focuses on professional liability litigation and financial lines disputes. She is regularly involved in advising Insurers and defended Insureds in claims for alleged negligent provision of professional services and Director's and Officers' liability claims. She has experience across a wide range of dispute resolution including court proceedings, mediation, judicial settlement conferences and other forms of ADR.

Jessica also advises in a wide range of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes. She also has widespread experience dealing with regulators and handling regulatory investigations, disciplinary proceedings (including the SFC, HKICPA, EAA, IA and HKFi) and related matters.

She also advises client on non-contentious matters, with experience in insurance claims management, policy drafting, advising on policy wording and on complex policy coverage issues.

Jessica is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

• Professional indemnity defence: accountants – defending a multi-million dollar audit negligence claim against the auditors of a public listed company arising out of an alleged failure to detect fraud by former management

• Professional indemnity defence: construction professionals – acting for an architectural practice in the defence of a claim concerning the redevelopment of a shopping mall in Hong Kong

• Regulatory investigation and defence – advising and representing auditors of a public listed company in connection with regulatory investigation and disciplinary proceedings

• Professional indemnity defence: insurance professionals – defending a multi-million dollar brokers negligence claim arising out of an alleged failure to advice on the scope of an event cancellation insurance

• D&O coverage – advising insurers on coverage and claims monitoring in relation to claims made under D&O policies arising from concurrent civil claims, ICAC, SFC and criminal prosecutions against directors

• Policy drafting – providing policy wordings advice to insurers on cyber policy and ride-share insurance
