Thomas serves the local and international insurance sectors. In dispute work he has experience in relation to claims flowing from all classes of insurance business, acting in subrogated defence for insureds in the financial services industry, professionals in the building industry, specialist medical practitioners and local government authorities. In this regard he is as equally experienced in private arbitration as in Superior Court litigation and has represented these parties in complaints to regulatory bodies.
In addition he advises on aspects of insurance coverage with a specific focus on professional and third party liability.
Thomas is a South African qualified attorney holding an LLB and BSocSc degree from the University of Cape Town.
