Miranda is an Associate in the Employment Team in our Glasgow office. Miranda trained exclusively in Employment Law and qualified in 2019.
Miranda is experienced in defending employers against Employment Tribunal claims and supports clients throughout the life of the claim from submitting the defence to appearing at final hearing, as well as negotiating settlements. Miranda has defended a breadth of claims including unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing claims. Miranda also advises clients on how to avoid claims wherever possible.
Miranda has worked with clients across a variety of industry sectors and also advises on non-contentious matters such as disciplinary and grievance processes, managing sickness absence, family friendly rights and issues relating to holiday and pay. She also has experience in drafting and reviewing policies and procedures, contracts of employment and settlement agreements.
Miranda has drafted and delivered training to clients on a variety of subjects including stress at work, GDPR and equal opportunities. She has an MSc in Human Resources Management and Training.
