Joshua acts for insurers, cargo interests, charterers and shipowners and has experience handling complex civil and commercial disputes, both in court and arbitration proceedings.

Acted for a dredging and reclamation company in defending a claim arising out of sham charterparties entered into.
Acted for the owner of a Singapore Exchange listed company in defending a claim for breach of a sale and purchase agreement for his purchase of a yacht.
Acted for a stevedoring company in defending a claim for approximately S$2 million arising out of an industrial accident which occurred while cargo was being unloaded at a port in Singapore.
Advised a charterer on its duty to nominate a safe port during the covid-19 pandemic.
Advised a major local insurer on a debt of US$5.2 million owed to it under a scheme of arrangement entered into by one of Asia’s largest shipping companies.
