Javier specializes in dispute resolution and has litigation experience in complex insurance and reinsurance matters. During his career Javier has been regularly dealing with all matters of insurance and reinsurance, international trade, shipping and professional liability for insurance companies, P&I Clubs and Lloyd's Syndicates.
Javier specializes in international trade, shipping, aviation and road transport matters for Spanish and international insurance companies, P&I Clubs and Lloyd's syndicates.
He has litigation experience in complex insurance and reinsurance matters and has intervened in a wide range of shipping matters, including collision, arrest and salvage cases, as well as in hull damage, personal injury and cargo claims.
Javier also has a particular focus on travel and tourism, having been co-opted as a Member of the Working Group of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for the drafting of an international convention on the protection of tourists/consumers and travel organizers. Javier normally assists hotels, travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, cruise lines and/or their insurers, in relation to consumer's claims for personal injury suffered during travel. Javier is also a member of ICADE's Cluster of Professors, and regularly lectures in the Master in Shipping Business and Maritime Law course at the Spanish Maritime Institute ("Instituto Marítimo Español") and ICADE Business School.
