David is a Legal Director in the legacy claims team based in our Glasgow office since November 2017.
He has worked in the insurance litigation sector for over 12 years and has predominantly specialised in disease claims resolution.
David acts for the majority of the legacy insurers and reinsurers in the UK and has an in depth knowledge of the law and practicalities of claims handling in this area.
The majority of his work relates to defending high value fatal disease claims and he is recognised within the legacy market and by the wider legal community as a technical expert in this field.

Secured abandonment in a number of fatal mesothelioma actions prior to trial on date of knowledge and low level exposure grounds
Tayside Contracts v D. Geddes (Contractors) Ltd [2017] CSOH 108 – successful defence in a commercial action relating to alleged defective road chippings where damages were sought of £1,000,000
