Mr. Hassouba is a senior legal advisor at Barakat, Maher & Partners in association with Clyde & Co and is based in the Cairo office. He is a highly regarded lawyer with over 40 years’ experience. Mr. Hassouba advises Egyptian and non-Egyptian entities on complex and high-value disputes, corporate, and regulatory matters. He has commented on the drafting of many of the current commercial and regulatory laws and codes of Egypt.

Mr. Hassouba is currently a board member of the Export Development Bank of Egypt and previously was a board member of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airport and Air Navigation.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Mr. Hassouba led the litigation practice at Baker McKenzie in Cairo, Egypt.
Mr. Hassouba is fluent in Arabic and English.

Advising a multinational developer in suspending the enforcement procedures of an arbitral award relating to a major residential development.
