Profil complet

Rebecca is a construction and insurance litigator.  She works with contractors, sub-contractors, architects and their insurers on construction related disputes. She has advised and worked with some of the largest contractors and insurers in the world on high value, complex defence and coverage claims and is experienced in methods of alternative disputes resolution.

Before specialising in construction, Rebecca maintained a broader PI practice, also acting for solicitors, barristers, surveyors, IFAs and other professionals- along with their insurers. She also has experience dealing with D&O claims and coverage disputes and completed a six-month secondment in AIG’s Financial Lines Complex Claims team in 2015/16 which gave her a valuable insight into the pressures and practicalities of claims handling.

Expérience

Her experience includes:

  • Acting for one of the UK’s leading construction firms and its insurer in a high value claim against its façade engineer for delay and disruption losses suffered in respect of multiple cladding design issues concerning a major commercial development.
  • Acting for a global construction firm in a high value and complex CAR claim involving the roof of a landmark building.
  • Successfully settling a claim and pursuing a recovery on behalf of a contractor and its insurers in relation to the high concept design and fit-out of a flagship fashion store.
  • Successfully mediating a claim against an architect relating to the design and project management of a retail and residential development in London.
