Ieva Fiddes is an Associate in the Projects & Construction group in our London office.
Ieva spent 8 months on secondment to a global contractor specialising in the offshore Renewables Energy Industry advising on construction contracts (based on FIDIC Yellow Book) and associated ancillary documents at tender stage.
Ieva specialises in contentious and non-contentious construction law, acting for employers, developers, contractors, sub-contractors and consultants both domestically and internationally.
Ieva’s non-contentious work involves acting for employers and developers in the drafting and negotiation of building contracts based on the JCT standard forms, professional appointments, collateral warranties and other ancillary construction documents in relation to residential and mixed-use developments.
Ieva also has experience in reviewing and advising on supply and services contracts at tender stage for public and private clients operating in the energy industry, including a global energy company.
Her contentious expertise includes advising on construction disputes, both domestically and internationally, including court litigation, arbitration and mediation.
Ieva also does pro-bono work with the Citizens Advice Bureau.

- Advising a global offshore wind contractor on a £380 million EPC contract and ancillary documents at a tender stage
- Acting for a sub-contractor in relation to the installation of WTG foundations for an offshore wind farm of the coast of Taiwan which was in delay
- Advising one of the largest UK universities on its agreements for electricity and energy supply
- Acting for a specialist real estate fund in advising on a major commercial development with the value of £1bn
- Acting for commercial developers and Local Authorities in relation to numerous residential and mixed-use construction projects
- Advising contractors on delay and defect claims against their supply chain
- Advising contractors and developers in relation to cladding and fire safety issues at high-rise residential developments in the UK
- Advising a developer on heat network agreements associated with the largest privately-owned development in the UK;
- Advising a not-for-profit international development company on the implementation of CSSF projects in Iraq under the EU/Iraq Partnership & Cooperation Agreement after Brexit
- Advising the project companies on operational variations to PFI social infrastructure projects
