Guy is an aviation finance and leasing lawyer of many years’ experience.
Guy acts for industry leading aviation finance banks, lessors and operators on complex cross-border aviation finance and leasing transactions including operating lease financings (including subordinated debt and Shariah-compliant financings), finance leases, sale and leaseback transactions, aircraft and engine purchases and disposals and PDP financings.
Guy was recognised as a rising star by leading industry publication, Airfinance Journal, in their 2016 Guide to Aviation Lawyers, and was lead counsel for the airline on Airfinance Journal’s Operating Lease Deal of the Year 2017.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Guy was an associate and senior associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, a senior associate at Stephenson Harwood and Of Counsel at REN Legal. Guy has also undertaken overseas secondments with leading aircraft lessors, including a nine-month stint as acting general counsel. He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in March 2003.

Advising an aircraft operator on a number of supplier contracts for maintenance, parts and services as well as operating leases for its entire fleet
Working with our investigations team to advise a lessor on the implications of an investigation into historical finance and leasing transactions involving a flag-carrying airline
