Fernando specializes in all areas of the offshore oil and gas industry, as well as in the marine sector. He provides legal advice to both domestic and foreign clients, with a majority of them being Pemex' contractors. His practice includes advising banks on the structure of loans and financing facilities related to the offshore oil and gas industry.

Fernando is also experienced in dealing with all aspects of transportation, charterparties, bills of lading and cargo claims.

Fernando has been practicing law in Mexico for almost 20 years and was appointed as a Mexican law expert in legal proceedings in the Unites States.
