Mike Diksa’s practice focuses on insurance coverage matters and insurance bad faith litigation before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration panels in Texas, Colorado, and other jurisdictions around the country.
Early in his career, Mike was selected to participate in the Lawyers on Loan Program with the Dallas County District Attorney’s office, prosecuting DWIs, domestic violence cases, and other misdemeanors. While serving as an Assistant District Attorney, Mike was lead prosecutor in numerous jury trials and trials before the court.

Primarily responsible for appellate briefing that resulted in unanimous opinion from the Supreme Court of Texas prohibiting the award of attorney’s fees in actions under Chapter 542A of the Texas Prompt Payment of Claims Act when an insurer has fully discharged its obligations under the policy by voluntarily paying the appraised amount, plus any statutory interest, in compliance with the policy’s appraisal provisions (on Certified Question from the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit).
