Maciej is a Counsel in Clyde & Co’s Warsaw office and a member of the Warsaw Energy and Natural Resources practice team since January 2024.

Maciej’s key specialism is in renewable energy projects, managing both the finance documents and underlying commercial contracts, such as development agreements, construction and engineering contracts, and operation and maintenance contracts. Maciej also advises on the bankability of project documents for obtaining financing.

Maciej has advised borrowers, project companies, investors and lenders on transactions throughout Europe and Africa. Maciej’s recent experience includes: 

  • Advising Generacion Eolica Castilla La Mancha S.L. on drafting and negotiating a Spanish law-governed balance of plant operation and maintenance agreement as well as an operational asset management services agreement for the Gecama wind farm in Cuenca, Castilla La Mancha, Spain with a planned installed capacity of 329.2 MW.
  • Advising Sowi Kosovo LLC on drafting and negotiating a German law-governed balance of plant operation and maintenance agreement, and operational asset management services agreement for three wind farms (Selac 1 with an installed capacity of 35 MW, Selac 2 with an installed capacity of 35 MW and Selac 3 with an installed capacity of 35 MW) in the municipality of South Mitrovica in the Republic of Kosovo.
  • Advising Energetski Park Korlat d.o.o. (through its technical adviser Fractal d.o.o.) on drafting and negotiating Croatian law-governed EPC and O&M contracts for a photovoltaic power plant with an aggregate capacity of 99 MWp in Croatia.
  • Advising Cero Generation Services Limited (Macquarie Group) on preparing and negotiating the development agreements for 11 photovoltaic projects with a planned total capacity of 700MW, the agreement for the sale of shares in three project companies, and for the sale of project rights.
  • Advising Cero Generation Services Limited (Macquarie Group) on the acquisition of three project companies developing energy storage projects with an aggregate capacity of 1.5GW.
  • Advising Green Investment Group (Macquarie Group) on the acquisition of a portfolio of 19 photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 500MW.
  • Advising Low Carbon UK Solar on a joint venture agreement with a Polish solar developer setting out the terms and conditions on which the parties will cooperate to jointly create a business aimed at developing a portfolio of ground-mounted photovoltaic projects in Poland.
  • Advising Low Carbon on a JV with a Polish developer to develop waste-to-energy assets in Poland and the wider central and Eastern European region.
  • Advising Lightsource bp on the acquisition of a portfolio of PV projects with a total capacity exceeding 750MW.
