Joris is a Senior Associate in Corporate Insurance team based in the London office. Joris qualified in Australia and worked at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers in Australia prior to joining Clyde & Co in London.
Joris advises insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries and others on regulatory, commercial and corporate matters, with a practical and commercial approach. He has a wide variety of experience in assisting clients with commercial agreements (including distribution arrangements and reinsurance), regulatory advice including the UK authorisation framework and insurance distribution regulations, and corporate transactions and governance. He has also advised Lloyd’s market participants on Lloyd’s regulations and various agreements.
Since joining Clyde & Co, Joris undertook a secondment at Zurich, gaining valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of an insurer.
Joris is a member of the British Insurance Law Association.
