James Dewey is a member of the Specialty Insurance Coverage practice group. James has extensive dispute resolution experience and is a skilled negotiator.
James has a grass-roots background in the legal industry and started his career in 2016 as a process server. After receiving his paralegal certificate from UCLA, James applied to law school at Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of law and was accepted with numerous scholarships. During law school, James focused his studies on transactional law, and clerked at an insurance coverage firm specializing in personal lines of insurance.
James has worked with landlord and tenant clients regarding commercial leasing matters; procured and maintained commercial cannabis licenses on behalf of cannabis business clients; and has worked on corporate maintenance, restructuring and acquisition matters on behalf of corporate clients. James also has experience defending auto dealerships in civil litigation matters.
