Vicente Carrillo is an associate in the Projects & Construction practice in our Santiago office since October 2023. 

He focuses on contractual, regulatory and construction matters in the development of infrastructure projects and has also experience advising national and international clients in the development, sale and purchase and financing of energy, public-private partnership (PPP) and infrastructure projects in general. 

In addition, he has developed particularly strong experience advising clients on contractual, regulatory, construction and real estate matters and due diligence processes under the framework of M&A and project finance transactions and has represented clients in the negotiation of construction agreements on behalf of construction companies, project owners and public works concessionaires of public infrastructure projects.

Mr. Carrillo graduated as a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and has conducted postgraduate studies at the same university and in the Universidad de los Andes, including a corporate law diploma, as well as construction contracts and project development specialization courses. Prior joining the firm, Vicente was an associate at the projects and infrastructure practice at Morales & Besa in Santiago, Chile.

Vicente speaks English and Spanish.

Expérience
  • Advising an energy company in the drafting and negotiation of co-development contracts to begin the study phase of a wind power project with an estimated capacity of 140 MW in the north of Chile.
  • Acted as counsel to an international company as concessionaire in the negotiation of an EPC Contract for the construction of a public hospital project under the Chilean public works concession regime.
  • Advising a multinational energy company in the purchase for US$550 million of a 416 MW portfolio of operational photovoltaic projects in the north of Chile.
  • Advising lenders in the negotiation of key contracts for the development of a 200 MW back-up power plant located in the north of Chile.
  • Advising different lenders on contractual and regulatory matters in the financing of several energy projects (photovoltaic and wind farms) located in several regions of Chile.
