Kurt Campanile focuses his practice on insurance coverage litigation and counseling. He provides representation and guidance to both domestic and international insurance carriers in several complex insurance coverage areas. Kurt has represented and advised insurers with respect to commercial general liability, professional liability, excess liability, pollution liability, errors and omissions and first-party personal and commercial policies.
Kurt's experience includes representing insurers with claims involving large scale environmental contamination, asbestos, catastrophic fire loss, product liability, construction defect and head trauma. He provides coverage opinions and monitoring for class actions and catastrophic losses involving claims for coverage under excess "occurrence" based policies for insurers and reinsurers, including those in the Bermuda market.
His representation of clients includes the handling of cases in New York, New Jersey, Louisiana, Florida and Washington. Kurt has also provided counseling for coverage claims arising out of underlying actions in the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Kurt worked at a New Jersey-based law firm practicing insurance coverage and defense, which included personal injury, construction defect, environmental contamination and subrogation claims in New Jersey and New York. He also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Linda Grasso Jones, J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth County.
