James has an extensive litigation practice spanning across all areas of insurance, including professional and financial disputes, professional negligence, product liability, construction law, and general commercial litigation. He also has extensive experience in defamation law, employment law, bankruptcy and insolvency, and enforcement of security including judgment recovery.  James has represented clients before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta. 

Prior to joining Clyde & Co., James worked at a large regional firm where he practiced in areas of defamation law, employment law, bankruptcy and insolvency, enforcement of security and judgment recovery, insurance law, and general commercial litigation. He has also worked at the Alberta Securities Commission gaining extensive experience in securities breaches and litigation. 

James’ pragmatic approach to his practice ensures that his clients’ interests are resolutely advanced and protected. 

In his spare time, James enjoys cooking and travelling. James is also an avid boxer and kickboxer.
